The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH2 features a newly developed 28mm wide-angle high quality LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens. Panasonic FH2 also can record motion pictures in high-definition (1,280 x 720 pixels at 30 fps in Motion JPEG format). The newly-incorporated Venus Engine VI in the H2 digital camera elevates resolution performance, zooming capabilities, start-up speed and auto focusing. Can also upload movies onto YouTube, and photos onto Facebook.

The MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabiliser) feature compensates for the blurring caused by hand-shake so you get clear, sharp images at the release of the shutter. The MEGA O.I.S. lets you shoot in dimly lit rooms or evening light to preserve the mood and works for macro shots and zoom shots, which are especially susceptible to hand-shake.

Panasinic Lumix FH2 features a 28mm wide-angle, 4x optical zoom LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens (35mm camera equivalent: 28-112mm). The lens lets you easily capture large groups of people indoors or expansive architectural structures. The 4x optical zoom lens captures beautiful shots of people or landscapes with 14.1-megapixel resolution. With the Intelligent Resolution technology, three areas (outlines, detailed texture areas and soft gradation areas) are automatically detected. Apart from the uniform enhancement of sharpness, this technology precisely performs signal processing pixel by pixel in the most effective way according to the area. As a result, images are clear and crisp. Panasonic FH2 Intelligent Zoom extends zoom ratio by approximately 1.3x , while the 4x zoom can virtually extend to 5x equivalent. The AF Tracking continually tracks a moving subject and keeps it in focus, Intelligent Scene Selector works to detect scene conditions and Intelligent Exposure detects the brightness level. Can also upload movies and photos to YouTube and Facebook. All you have to do is checkmark the photos and movies you want to share and connect the camera to your computer. Uploading automatically starts just by following the on-screen instructions. With operation of Panasonic FH2 is easy, you can instantly share your photos and movies with your family and friends all over the world.

The high-speed, high-performance Venus Engine VI is incorporated in the DMC-FH2 to enable the recording of beautiful images with higher quality signal processing including the Intelligent Resolution technology. An advanced noise reduction system in the Venus Engine VI applies noise reduction (NR) to luminance noise and chromatic noise separately. As a result, beautiful images with minimal noise can be reproduced all the way up to ISO1600 high sensitivity at full resolution for beautiful night shots or dimly lit indoor shots.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH2 Sonic Speed AF system includes numerous re-engineering enhancements, including a higher-speed actuator, optimized algorithms and parallel software processing. The result is fast and accurate AF performance. In addition, the  Panasonic  Lumix FH2 features dramatically speedier focusing that is approx. 45% faster than our previous model. You can quickly focus on moving subjects, such as when you're shooting sports scenes. The shutter release time lag is as short as approx. 0.007 second, making it easy to capture sudden, spur-of-the-moment photo opportunities.
